“Caring for Oneself as a Caregiver” with Barbara P. Berkowitz, Ph.D.

Becoming a caregiver for a loved one changes the nature of the past relationship. Such changes can be difficult to process. Becoming good at asking for help is essential to avoid burnout and depression. What are some things one can do to relieve stress, create brief moments of joy, and to replenish one’s spirit?
This gathering will be a combination of shared knowledge from Dr. Berkowitz’s many years of experience as a clinical psychologist, and being a caretaker, along with audience discussion and participation to help one another.
